A memory, something observed, or entirely imagined: each picture is based on shapes, contours, proportions which I find captivating and exciting to follow. I start from the roughest sketches in my sketchbook, redraw and redraw the same lines again and again on tracing paper until I reach the exact shapes that I am looking for. The prepared drawing is then copied to the linoleum board, and the physical work begins.

Depending on the size and complexity of the piece, I enjoy spending days or weeks carving each picture. In this process, drawing lines transform into linocuts, while intermediate test prints help me control the quality of my cuts and ensure that they communicate the "true" shapes I am interested in. Once the carved linoleum is finalized, colors are applied, and one by one, the final prints come to life.

All works are hand-carved and hand-printed lino prints, created with high-quality oil colors and the finest quality, acid-free art paper. Each print is a weeks-long process, and with each piece, I learn something new.
